BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan), also known as the Bangtan Boys, are a South Korean boy band consisting of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. The septet, who write and produce much of their own output, have branched out from their hip hop roots to incorporate a wide variety of genres in their music. Their work often focuses on personal and social commentary, touching on lyrical themes such as mental health, troubles of school-age youth, loss, self-love, and individualism; references literature and psychological concepts; and features an alternative universe storyline.
