In late 1927, Madam Seraphina Picquery, then-President of MACUSA, declared the Thunderbird a protected species. A finely crafted, hand painted sculpture of the Thunderbird, a large avian creature found in Arizona with the ability to create storms as it flies. Newt Scamander helps Thunderbird Frank to return home.
